Another obedient harvested soul ditches CPI(M)
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the path of Abdullakutty and KS Manoj who quit the ‘Godless’ CPM, Young CPI(M) leader Sindhu Joy also quit the party.
Joy was a national vice president of the Students Federation of India and also an office-bearer of the party’s youth wing .”Since then I was being sidelined. I decided it is enough and decided to quit the party. I will remain in public life. My future course of action will be decided very soon,” she said.
Speculation is that she will be seen along with Congress leader Oommen Chandy when he begins his campaign in Kottayam district for assembly polls next month. Chandy said Joy was most welcome to join the Congress.
The CPI(M) gave her seats in last Assembly and Parliament seat – owing to the fact that she is a Christian sidelining many Hindu (namesake) leaders in the party. Yet she moan that she is sidelined!
The influence of Church in the Kerala politics is said to be the reason behind this farewell bid by Sindhu Joy.
