Annual meet of Bharateeya Vichara Kendra

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The annual delegate meet of Bharatiya Vichara Kendra will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on July 7,8 and 9

The Vichara Kendra, in existence for the last 24 years, has today evolved into a powerful tool to infuse nationalistic thinking in the state, where post-independence generation lost all such moorings, thanks to the imported ideologies and “isms”

Vichara Kendra, under the guidance of none other than Manya P. Parameshwarji, could meaningfully interfere during the past in many live issues and hot debates, thus successfully exposing the futility and diabolic designs of anti-nationalist forces and the communists in Kerala.

This year’s delegate meet is held at a time when the Vichara Kendra is completing its 24th year of existence. Vichara Kendra’s earlier major events include the international Gita seminar organized in 2003 at Thrissur. His Holiness Dalai Lama also participated in the programme. The event and subsequent Campaign led by Vichara Kendra helped the youth of Kerala to realize the potential of Srimad Bhagawat Gita as a powerful tool to confront and overcome the riddles of modern day life. Vichara Kendra, now functioning from its own spacious complex at the city center in state capital, has today become a center of guidance for many including youngsters, researches as well as common people.

Another major event organized by the Kendra was a research seminar – “ Research for National Resurgence”, in Aluva during 2003.

This years delegate meet is being held at a time when serious changes are taking place in Kerala’s socio-political arenas that may have long standing effects on the society. Politicians and pseudo-secular intellectuals are happily accepting anti-nationalist forces spreading their influence under the garb of human rights organizations. Kerala, slowly but surely is being transformed, or being “prepared” to be another Kashmir. Does the sad plight of becoming a refugee in one’s own land awaits all of us here?

This will be one among many other subjects that will be discussed and debated during the delegates meet.

A committee headed by Dr.K Jayaprasad and Dr. M Sambasivan are relentlessly working to make the three-day event a great success. The patrons of the reception committee are Manya P. Parameshwarji, C.P Nair (I.A.S retd), Dr. K Madhavankutty  and Dr. A Sukumaran Nair.

Those who wish to participate can register at the Vichara Kendra office situated in Samskriti Bhavan, GPO Lane Thiruvananthapuram-1. The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 100/-.
