Anna’s victory, Echoes in Palakkad

India Against Corruption, District Committee, Palakkad which had been supporting the fast by Anna Hazare through a relay fast near Martyrs’ Column at Fort Maidan celebrated the breaking of fast by Anna by taking out a march through Court Road, G B Road, College Road and back. The march was led by Vilayodi Venugopal, Shanavaz, Sulthan, Arumughan Pathichira, Puthusseri Srinivasan, Syed Muhammed, Ramakrishnan and Major Ravindran. All those who had participated in the relay fast during the last 13 days were also present. Earlier, Sudevan, who had continued the relay fast from 27 Aug 2011 had ended it by drinking tender coconut water .
