Annadana should be for 24 hours a day -High court ordered for Sabarimala pilgrimage season

Kochi(Kerala): The High Court Of Kerala Ordered for 24 hours arrangement to give Annadana(food as offering)to the huge pilgrim groups who are coming to see the diety Lord Ayyappa .Court ordered this to the Devaswam Board the administration of Kerala Government which regulates all temple related activities. Court suggested to give Kanji (the rice boiled and served with water), Puzhukku (the boiled and cooked potato and tapioca and other ground nut items) and also Ponkal (the food of Tamil Nadu) .The Sabarimala pilgrimage is the huge and biggest season of southern India in Kerala and also the second biggest pilgrim centre after the Thirupathi in Andra Pradesh. The season starts on 16th November and ends after Makara Samkarama of January and here in Kerala that season is also the start of the winter also. The Court also ordered to state government to open the courter for Prasadam 24 hours in the whole season. Last august the High Court ordered the same thing but the government didn’t done anything, court put light on that matter also. The Division Bunch consists of Justice Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan; M.V.Ramakrishna ordered the well acclaimed decision. They also gave instruction to the state government not commercialise the places which are the crucial town and pilgrim position of Sabarimala named Pampa, Nilakkal and Erumeli.
