Amma to camp in Kochi for three days

Preparations for the festival have almost been completed, announced Swami Poornamritanandapuri, general secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math at a Press conference. Several lakh of devotees are expected to participate in the annual festival, he said. | ||
A 30,000 sq ft temporary stage and pandal, which can accommodate thousands of devotees, has been erected. In addition, accommodation facility has been arranged for as many as 25,000 people. Apart from this, other amenities for devotees like transportation facility, medical aid, drinking water, paring area, garbage treatment, security service, telecommunication facilities are also arranged. Free food will be provided to all devotees during the festival days. On the concluding day, Sunday, District Collector APM Muhammad Haneesh will release a souvenir on the Brahmasthanam temple festival. | ||
During the three-day festival, Mata Amritanandamayi will deliver the blessing speech, meditation and devotional songs at 11.00 am and 7.00 pm. After this, she will give darshan to devotees. Token system has been arranged for darshan and special facilities are being arranged for the ill, aged and physically disabled devotees. |
