The Police have rounded up 15 NDF extremists along with Marad model swords and petrol bombs from the house of an extremist at Ambanakulangara near Mannachery in Alapuzha.


On getting information from one of the extremists police from Alapuzha North Police Station and the AR camp cordoned of the house at 2 a.m. and captured all the 15 NDF workers along with the weapons including petrol bombs. It is alleged that they were planning to attack certain Hindu homes. Police suspect that for the past so many days bomb manufacturing has been taking place at this place.


Meanwhile, there are allegations that some of the police personnel, suspected to be sympathizers of the NDF, had informed the NDF top leaders with in minutes after the police action.


In fact, some of the media, including the Janmabhoomi, had warned the police about storing of the weapons including bombs in the area, but the authorities only turned a deaf ear to this.


Hindu Aikya Vedi, District Secretary, Mr SushiKumar in a statement urged the police to act effectively to bring those involved in extremism before the law. He also alleged that these extremist organizations had involvement in the attacks on a number of temples in the southern parts of the district.
