Akkitham receives Puraskaram

GURUVAYUR: Mahakavi Akkitham Achuthan Namboodiri was honoured with the Njanappana Puraskaram, instituted by Guruvayur Devaswom in memmory of Bhakthakavi Poonathaanam, in a cultural meeting held in connection with Poonthaana dinam celebrations at Melpathur auditorium on Thursday.
Temple Ooralan Mallissery Parameswaran Namboodiripad presented the puraskaram comprising of cash award and citation to Mahakavi Akkitham. Noted writers Puthur Unnikrishnan, K P Sankaran, Radhakrishnan Kakkassery and Guruvayur Devaswom administrator V Ratheesan addressed the gathering.
