After Exodus from CPM; Now it’s turn of Congress leaders & Activists to join BJP in Kerala
Pulpalli: Taking a cue from their Marxist counterparts, it is now the turn of Congress party workers to make a mass exodus to the nationalist camp of Bharatiya Janata Party. Over 60 members including the Mandalam president of Mahila Congress of Munkolli gramapanchayat have migrated to the BJP camp.
“These members who had sworn allegiance to the party from erstwhile days left the Congress camp owing to the various unholy alliances and lack of initiative on the part of party leaders. They even have an attitude of ensuring that their own candidates suffer a loss,” said sources related to those who had migrated to BJP.
Many wards including the 13th ward of Munkollli gramapanchayat saw the defeat of many Congress candidates who had high chances of winning, owing to alleged unholy alliances between Congress and CPM. This has led to extreme disillusionment among many candidates who had served as sincere party workers.
