ADB issue: Quit, BJP tells VS
KASARGOD: BJP state president P K Krishnadas has said that the chief minister should either quit or oust Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammedkutty and Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac with regard to the controversy on the ADB issue.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Krishnadas said that if the ministers had signed the ADB agreement without prior discussion in the Cabinet, they had done an anti-Constitutional act.
But the two ministers were saying that the deal had been discussed in the Cabinet.
The BJP leader said if the words of these ministers were to be believed, the Chief Minister had lied on the issue. The government should make clear what the fact is.
The BJP leader said the CPI had made it clear that the ADB deal was not discussed in the Left parties’ coordination committee. He said the whole ADB issue seemed to be embroiled in a shroud.
Krishnadas said the Chief Minister had said that the government had not decided against a CBI probe into the Lavalin issue. But the government has now engaged a senior advocate of the Supreme Court to argue the case in the High Court paying a hefty fee to the lawyer.
The BJP leader alleged that apart from Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, another super chief minister was also ruling the state thus creating two power centres.
