Action to be Initiated against KGS Group: Reports

New Delhi: The Central government is mulling over the course of action to be taken against KGS Group, proprietors of the controversial Aranmula Airport project. The continual false propaganda raised by the establishment against the Union government is said to be the reason for the same. The central leadership of BJP has indicated this will happen, following the firm stand taken by the ruling government in the Parliament against implementation of the project. This was announced by Union Minister for Environment Prakash Javadekar while addressing media persons from Kerala.

“The SC and Green Tribunal had quashed the grant given by previous government regarding construction of the airport. However, KGS Group had sought a re-study into the matter, because they had legal rights for the same. But that does not mean permission for the airport. The Central government has been presented with all documents and evidences pointing to the falsified propaganda indulged in by KGS Group against the government. Also a representative group of BJP-RSS has held a meeting with the Minister for Environment and Minister of State for Aviation Mahesh Sharma and sought action against KGS Group. The government is thereby convinced of the malicious oath adopted by KGS. Anyway certain step will definitely be initiated against KGS, said special invitee of BJP National executive committee member PK Krishnadas, adding that the propaganda indulged in them was absolutely baseless, which only served to misguide people and thereby cause panic in them.

“Whatever the report submitted by the agency in charge of conducting environmental impact study be, the Union government has reaffirmed that the airport project will not take shape,” he further stated.
