Acharya Narendra Bhushan passes away

KOCHI : Acclaimed Vedic scholar and thinker Sri Acharaya Narendra Bhusan reached his Samdhi today.He was 75 years old. He had been undergoing treatment for
stomach-related ailments at the Amrita Hospital for the last two weeks,
hospital sources said. The body has been taken to his native place in
Chengannur where it will be kept for the people to pay homage. The body
will be cremated at the Maharshi Dayananda Gurukulam at Vaikom.
Recipient of numerous awards, he had written 100-odd books.

 He was a Sanskrit and Vedic scholar, erudite Philosopher and an excellent public speaker. He has written more than 1000 books and bold articles and exciting inquiry into the lessons of Hindu History-and the meaning Vedas hold for the present crisis of civilization. He was instrumental in establishing Maharshi Dayananda Gurukulam. It was a brilliant move on his part for those who look with hope toward better understanding of our sacred Vedic culture. He was the Chief Editor of ARSHANADAM where he has written stimulating and scholarly articles on our Hindu culture. He has translated thousands of books from Sanskrit and Hindi into Malayalam .Sahithya Academy has awarded literary prizes for his contributions in Sanskrit andMalayalam literature.
