The ABVP State conference, which is underway here, has, in its political resolution, come out heavily against State Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and the DG of Police Ramon Srivastava for blaming the ABVP for the unfortunate death of the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police at the NSS Hindu college.

The organisation, in its political resolution, also made it clear that the SFI activists were behind the death of the ASI, Elias and that the police was trying to save the actual culprits by putting the blame on the innocent ABVP workers. The organisation also charged that the ABVP and RSS activists were subjected to third degree torture by the police allegedly under the direct instructions from State Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

The ABVP State conference elected Advocate S Manu as State president and P Sudheer as its Secretary. The conference was earlier inaugurated by the national vice-president of the organisation Murali Manohar and was addressed among others by the national secretary P Sandip.

The ABVP leadership also held a detailed discussion on the total failure of the higher education sector in the State, and the lethargy and inefficiency shown by the education department, leading to the student seeking admission to the professional colleges getting stranded at the cost of the poor handling of the situation by the Government. The ABVP meet also discussed the hardship faced by the merit students also as the admission to the professional colleges were delayed taking into consideration the admission to the self-financing professional colleges.

Meanwhile, the BJP leadership has also come out in the open on the appointment of a police team headed by the Kanjirapally DySp to investigate the death of the ASI. The party district president Narayanan Namboodiri has said that the BJP would organise panchayat level conferences against the CPI(M) police nexus in the Changanassery incident and said that the democratic rights of the activists of the ABVP and the RSS were violated by the police in the aftermath of taking them into custody and the cruel third degree torture inflicted on them.

The BJP leader also said that the CPI(M), police nexus was out in the open and that there are clear evidences of the police dancing to the tune of the local CPI(M) leadership in the investigation process .He also added that the BJP and the other sister organisations would launch massive agitations by ensuring the confidence of the people in putting an end to the CPI(M) goonda activities in the district.

The RSS, ABVP and the BJP are in the fighting mood against the polices taken by the LDF Government using the police to attack the sangh and its sister organisations. The sangh has also decided to organise massive protest marches through the State highlighting the failure of the police and the DGP acting as a stooge of the State Home Minister Kodiyeri.
