Abhaya case: Police seize lab register

Thiruvananthapuram: Police on Tuesday seized the original register containing the chemical examination report on the body of Sister Abhaya, who was found dead in a well of a convent at Kottayam, 15 years back. The seizure was made as per the directive of the Chief Judicial Magistrate on the basis of a private petition. The police produced the seized register before the CJM later in the day. Fresh charges have come up that the chemical examination report on the body of the nun was tampered, reviving the case being investigated by the CBI. Sister Abhaya’s body was found in the well of a convent on March 27, 1992.
