Gomatha Thulabharam held
KASARGOD:Â Gomatha Thulabharam, ritual weighing of cows, was held at the Amruthahara Gosala in Perla on Saturday. Cows were venerated at the Gosala, cattle kraal, where the cows are well-fed and maintained. The gothulabharam was the way of honouring cows venerated as Gomatha.
The thulabharam was held at the Sankara Sadana and Bharati Sadana in Perla, accompanied by different religious rites.
The thulabharam was held in the presence of Swami Raghavendra Bharathi. Gomatha Shobhayatra procession was started from Idiyadka temple after 3.30 pm to the venue of the thulabharam.
The thulabharam was inaugurated by Ravish Thantri Kuntar. Besides Swami Raghavendra, religious heads such as Swami Gurudevananda, Swami Mohandas and Fr Vincent D’Souza of Bela church were the dignitaries on the occasion.
