Ayurvedic Lady Doctor Faces Ostracism in Marxist Citadel

Kannur: Dr Neeta P Nambiar, a lady Ayurvedic doctor has been forced to shut down her practice centre in Kallyasseri, VB Clinic, thanks to a decree of ostracism issued by Marxists.  Reason? The doctor’s mother had contested as a UDF candidate in the last Panchayat elections, which resulted in her being outlawed. The incident speaks of nothing but gross violation of Human Rights being indulged in by CPM, in an area which has the stamp of being a party village. Inspite of having made several complaints to Ayurveda Medical Association of India, Dr Neeta is yet to see justice, with the organization having strong Leftist leanings.

According to sources, the doctor’s clinic had been subject to continuous onslaughts and attacks by Marxist goons ever since her mother decided to contest against LDF. “The doctor and her mother had to seek police protection, even to cast their votes. And on the day results were declared, the gang of Marxist goons barged into their homes, showering abuses on the mother and daughter. They hurled fire crackers inside the residence, leaving the two women petrified. Even in the clinic, where provision has been made for patients to sit, chairs and other furniture gets periodically destroyed, thanks to the red brigade. They even take away what remains,” said sources.

Dr Neeta recounts tales of patients being sent back, threatening them of dire consequences if they did. She also narrated instances of police inaction and lax. “They threatened that they will arrive with the CPM branch secretary and resort to more destruction, including completely doing away with the clinic. We are given voluminous doses of the worst abuses possible, that too in front of patients. They strew stinking waste material inside the clinic and on the entire path that leads to the clinic. In spite of numerous complaints being registered in Kannapuram police station, authorities have refused to take action. The goons have showed abuses and humiliated us, even in front of police officials. Still they choose to remain oblivious,” she said adding that they filled a hoax case against her, wit the aid of the women folk who ran a catering unit, whose allegiance was with the red brigade. 

“If I reopen the clinic, they will resort to physical violence too. They are capable of even that,” said a visibly lost Dr Neeta who is shattered for having wound up practice and being denied the right to further a profession she has been trained in. 

Kallyasseri is yet another CPM citadel where the brutes of red brigade do not allow members of any other political party to live in peace. The atrocities unleashed on those who do not stand with them is a known fact.
