An eye for an eye
Thiruvananthapuram:An Eye for an eye, This is would be the perfect way to explain the irony the SFI is facing today at its once unbreakable fort, The University College.
The famous institution located at the heart of Thiruvananthapuram has seen many stalwarts pass out this college.
It is also quite famous for its often violent student’s agitation that sparks of riots all over the state. The Students Federation of India, the student’s wing of the Communist party of India has been winning the college election successively for many years.
The college is also known as the red fort of the SFI as no other students body is allowed to function on the premises. Any student who registers against the SFI is often attacked by the SFI goons. So much to say that even the police, while fighting pitched battles against the students on the streets of Thiruvananthapuram have often been attacked by the students with stones and weapons. The college has history of the police resorting to gun fire to stop rioting.
It is interesting now to note that the SFI has begun facing a threat at its main campus from its mother party ally the NDF the Kerala face of Jehadi terrorism, by way of its students wing the Campus Front.
For the last two years the Campus Front has slowly been growing within the University College campus. The SFI claims that Campus Front is promoting terrorism on its campus. It’s ironical when politically alert citizens know for a fact that the CPM is in nexus with the NDF and that is the reason for the complete rout of the UDF in the recently concluded elections.
The SFI claims that the Campus Front activists are coming to college with weapons. This correspondent is a former student of the college. We ask the SFI to ask their own conscience what gives them the right to store weapons in the student’s union office and amongst the wild bushes around the campus. What gives the SFI the right to undemocratically prevent other student organisations from participating in the college elections?
HK strongly condemns the activities of the Campus Front as they are inciting religious hatred in the campus and also opposes the SFI goondaism and their terrorism like activities in the colleges in Kerala.
The Hindus have not yet forgotten the ABVP workers who the SFI brutally attacked and even murdered by the SFI. We have also not forgotten the days we were forced to remain out of colleges because of our ideological differences or ideological leanings with the ABVP. You are now going to face the same medicine you have been using as poison amongst the students of various campuses in Kerala.
The coming days will see the demolition of the Communist myth on campus politics and there would be many who will publicly and sometimes secretly applaud. Especially the local people of Thiruvananthapuram
