Gurupoornima Celebration and Sanyasa Deeksha at Sree Ramadasa Ashram
Thiruvananthapuram: Sree Ramadasa Ashram at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has celebrated the auspicious day of Gurupoornima with three days programs. The Gurupoornima day at ashram has got an importance since it is the first time after Poojya Swamiji’s Mahasamadhi. Gurupoornima was on July 29, Sunday.
Devotees have spirited with the mood of having their ‘Swamiji’ too alike Brahmasree Neelakanda Gurupadar and even the emotions are with a missing feeling.
Three days celebration has colored with different Satsang, Homa, Archana, other routine offerings and poojas. Amrutha Bhojan was served to all Devotees from different part of Kerala and abroad had the initiation to spend their day at the holy atmosphere of ashram.
Ashram officials have decided to conduct the ‘Deeksha’ for selected Brahmacharies including the Honorable President of Brahmachary Brahmachaithanya (Krishnan Potty). The Deeksha function has taken place at Poojya Swamiji’s Samadhi Mandapam in the morning hours of Gurupoornima. There were many devotes to witness Deeksha of their ‘potty swamy’ after removing ‘poonool’ and white clothes, a symbolic change of peace to sacrifice (thyaga).
Ashram Brahmacharies Brahm. Brahmachaithanya, Brahm. Sudarman, Brahm. Rajan and Brahm. Sivasankaran are to be identified with new names upon their Deeksha as below.
1. Brahm. Brahmachaithanya – Brahma Padananda Saraswathy
2. Brahm. Sudarman – Shankara Padananda Saraswathy
3. Brahmachary Rajan – Neelakanda Padananda Saraswathy
4. Sivasankaran – Rama Padananda Saraswathy
