Saint who roared for Hindu Pride
Swami Satyananda Saraswathi was a saint who taught Hindus in Kerala how to fight for their rights and roared for hindu cause whenever a need or a threat came against their Dharma.
Born on Malayalam month of Kanni on Punartham star, Had he been alive we could have got the privilege to celebrate the 72 birthday of the great saint who stood for Hindu unity against all odds and fighting and defeating anyone who came against Hindus.
For 4 decades he led the Sree Ramakrishnasramam at Chenkottukonam spreading the message for Hindu unity and helping the needy and helpless families among the community.
Swamiji rose to fame when he protested against the destruction of Hindu deities at Kottiyoor Palukachi Hill. Since then he never looked back, Was in the forefront in all issues along with Hindu organizations like RSS. He boosted the morale of Hindus by his speech and installed confidence among them by his actions. Swami lead a protest march from the northern end of Kerala to Kanyakumari in south protesting against the kottiyoor incident.
He was also one of the leading faces who took charge of unorganized Hindu masses in Nilakkal protest movement against the Christian mafias to capture the holy Sabarimala. He just didn’t preach and was equally efficient in implementing what he preached through his action and struggles. He was an advocate of the Hindu unity irrespective of caste and was the first President of the Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedi the confederation of Hindu groups in kerala.
People cannot so easily forget his speeches during the protest against government move to make a permanent structure at the Sankhumukham beach on account of Pope John Pauls visit. He strongly protested against the government move and warned them of consequences if any one touched the beach land which is also the Aarattu kadavu of Lord Sree Padmanabha.
He never led the movements for the sake of leading it but ensured that his struggles bear fruitful results. He never gave up his fight on assurances from any one and asked for prompt actions and measures from authorities instead of just words of consolation. He strongly believed that Hindus can only survive in this land by fighting and demanding their rights and not by just sitting idle.
When Kerala passes through a crucial and turmoil phase with the state being a hub for all anti Hindu activities we miss visionaries and warriors like Swamiji whose presence used to bring thousands to the streets. Haindava keralam offer floral tributes to the great soul.
and pray to the great almighty to bring more avatars like swamiji for protecting the Hindus from evils of Jihadi’s Missionaries and Communists.
