Guruvayur-Ekadasi vilakku by courts

GURUVAYUR: Jammu & Kashmir Chief Justice-designate Justice K.S. Radhakrishnan offered prayers at Guruvayur Sree Krishna temple on the day of Ekadasi vilakku by courts, on Sunday.

Devaswom administrator V. Ratheesan received the Chief Justice-designate at Sreevalsam guest house.

High Court judges K. Padmanabhan Nair, V. Ramkumar, K.P. Balachandran, K. Thankappan, R. Vasanth and T.R. Ramachandran Nair also offered prayers at the temple.

District judges Balasubramanyam, Devpal, magistrates P.K. Mohandas, Aravinda Babu, Maya Devi, Trivandrum principal munsiff Unnikrishnan Nair, Chavakkad munsiff C. Arumughan and Sub-Judge Dharmaraj also offered prayers.

A special kazhcha Siveli accompanied by melam was also performed at the temple.

Chembai sangeetholsavam:

More than 800 musicians presented concerts at the Chembai Sangeetholsavam during the last five days.

Twins Athira and Amrita, 9th Std students of KAU school, Vellanikkara, Viswanath, from Palakkad, Rakhee Madhu Warrier from Kottakkal, Arya Dayal, from Kannur, Girija Murali from Nelluvai were among those who enthralled the devotees gathered at Melpathur auditorium.

A pullamkuzhal concert was performed by Rayamangalam Shaji.

Heavy rush:

The temple witnessed heavy rush of devotees owing to 141 marriages and 831 annaprasam at the temple on Sunday.
