New ‘chief priest’
selected for Guruvayur temple

T’PURAM: Ezhikode Krishnadas Namboodiri
was yesterday selected as ‘Melsanthi’ (chief priest)
of Guruvayur Srikrishna temple yesterday.
He will serve as chief priest for six months from April
1.
The selection was made by drawing lots from 46 shortlisted
candidates.
Krishnadas Namboodiri is serving as priest of Mahadevar
temple at Pavakkulam in Ernakulam district, temple sources
said
