Rudrageetham for peace of mind
KOCHI: The recital of the Rudrageetham with “sraddha and bhakthi’’ (dedication and devotion) will enable one to attain peace of mind, Bhagavatha Acharya Thamarassery Sankaran Bhattathiry said while delivering a discourse on the third day of the Srimad Bhagavatha Sathram on the Ernakulathappan Ground here on Monday.
The Rudrageetham unfolds the glories of the Supreme Brahman. It was passed on by Lord Siva to Prachethasses, the sons of Pracheenabarhis, to enable them to realise the Lord. Prachethasses recited the Rudrageetham for several years and merged in the lotus feet of the Lord. All those who recite the Rudrageetham with a clean mind (chhitha suddhi) will merge with the Lord, Sankaran Bhattathiry said while stressing the importance of the recital of the Rudrageetham verses.
C Kunhuramavarrier, Madassery Haripriya, K R Nambiar, P V Viswanathan Nampoothiry and T G Purushothaman were the others who delivered discourses on Monday.
