68.5% polling in 1st phase of elections

In the first phase of elections to the state assembly 68.5 per cent of the voters exercised their adult franchise in 59 constituencies.
These constituencies are spread over in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alapuzha, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Kottayam. The polling ended peacefully at 5 p.m. 409 candidates are in the fray.
The second phase of the elections would be held on Apr 29 and the final phase will be May 03.
Prominent BJP leaders will be trying their luck in the next and final phases of the polling
