1st cyber case, Pastor convicted

In the first cyber case in Kerala, Pastor Balan and his son was convicted by the court.


The case goes like this, Balan was a converted Christain,to Pentacoste group.He became a pastor and worked in many Churches.Later he developed differences with Pentecoste Sabha and he was expelled from it.Through his magazine Defender he started exposing the deeds of Pentocoste leaders, especially of T.S.Abraham the General secretary of Sharon Pentecoste group.Abraham filed defamation case against Pastor and son in which he complained email messages and morphed photos were spreaded by Pastor and son to defame him.


Seven years in jail and 35,000 rupees fine is the punishment.
