KOZHIKODE: Around 25 trained cadres of the Indian Mujahideen (IM) are sheltered in a safe hideout in Sharjah waiting for an opportunity to sneak into India to carry out explosions in various cities.

The plan was revealed by a terrorist who was arrested from Uttar Pradesh recently. The hideout is arranged by Indian Mujahideen leader Riyaz Bhatkal.

The 25-member team includes some of the accused in the blasts in India and new recruits who have undergone terror training in Pakistan.

To avenge the arrest of its senior leaders and to boost the sagging morale of its cadres, the IM wants a repetition of a series of bomb blasts it executed in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.

Security agencies suspect that the explosion at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore was only a beginning in the new series.

Riyaz Bhatkal, who is now shuttling between West Asian countries and Pakistan, insists that explosions should be carried out in the same cities which were rocked by blasts earlier.

He believes that it would give a psychological edge to the Indian Mujahideen.

IM leaders, including Amir Raza Khan, Riyaz Bhatkal and Iqbal Bhatkal, are regularly visiting the hideout to indoctrinate the youths and to keep them prepared for `new missions.’ Sources told Express that Iqbal had recently arranged a party for the youths at the hideout.

He came to the bash with 15 new recruits who are suspectedly from South India. All those sheltered in the hideout have Nepali passports procured under fake names.

Yasin Bhatkal, the prime suspect in the Pune and stadium blasts, came back to India from Karachi to oversee the `local arrangements.
