Umman Chandy, M M Hassan and Sasi Tharoor -the trio who ignored warnings on Islamic Seminar

Hindu Aikya Vedi workers took up this issue of the visit of Yusuf al qardawi with District Collector and DGP. Consequently, Qaradawi cancelled his visit on ‘health’ grounds and other foreigners stayed in hotels and flew back in the evening. The Chief Minister boycotted the meeting. Prominent Hindus especially leftists did not attend the seminar. Maharaja Marthanda Varma also boycotted the meet. Sugatha Kumari, Sukumar Azhikkode, P Govinda Pillai, Anathalavattom Anandan, Dr. Babu Paul. all were absent. But Congress leaders Oommen Chandy, M M Hassan and Sasi Tharoor participated. But the sheen of the seminar was lost.
