Professor pardons, Says he quoted from a chapter recommended by University
Prof Joseph, who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kochi after a hand-reconstruction surgery, said on Wednesday that he had already pardoned those who attacked him. Talking to a Malayalam television channel, he denied the allegation that the question paper he had prepared contained anything blasphemous. He said he had only quoted in the question paper a certain part of a chapter recommended by the university.
Joseph said that all incidents in the name of the question paper were based on some misunderstanding, complaining that he had not been given the time or opportunity to explain his position nor had anyone helped him in that. “This is what led to the attack on me,†he said.
