Theft of so called ‘Christ Towel’ – What is the variety of that unperishable cotton?

A piece of old linen and a blood stained metal scrap was stolen from a church in Trichur distict. Our biased and prejudiced front line media, did not hesitated to give undue importance to the theft of some scrap materials at Irinjalakkuda church. Our secualr government quickly reacted and the theft of TOWEL was entrusted to Special investigation team for Triprayar temple theft.

There is no proof whether the scrap is connected with Jesus Christ. There is no documentary evidence to prove the life of Christ as in the case of Lord Ram. The front line media competed to make it a news on front page. The government machinery was put into high alert and the tax payers money is wasted for a piece of OLD CLOTH .

Miscellaneous and sundry materials are stolen from temples almost everyday. Temple lands are being encroached .Cash starved temples are advised to take legal action at their own. Government do not provide legal assistance or financial help to run civil suits. Petty thefts at temples goes unnoticed and un-reported. Media do not care about temple thefts. It is regular and routine affair for them. There is no news value for temple thefts. Properties worth crores are stolen from temples. Centuries old idols are stolen. The government machinery is not put on high alert. There is no satisfactory and effective investigation regarding idol thefts.

Here the government leaves no stone unturned to prove the theft of TOWEL believed to be used by Jesus 2000 years back. The government is concerned with safety of Hazarath Bal ( Hair of prophet)! The government is eager to protect the towel used to clean crucified christ! But the the government is not sure about birth place of Lord Ram. What a tragedy?The law is different for different people.

What is the variety of that unperishable cotton, lasting upto 20 centuries ? Government of India and Agricultural department should make a study of this variety of cotton.My sympathy goes to those officers entrusted with the task of unearthing the theft of a towel piece .
