Murder of Satyesh who transformed Kodunallur to a Saffron Fort ; Life sentence for CPM terrorists

THRISSUR: The Thrissur Fast Track Court today awarded life sentence to eight CPM activists in the case relating to the murder of Yuvamorcha leader and BJP’s municipal area secretary Kothaparambu Arayamparambil Sathyesh. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 to each of them.

33 year old Sathyesh was brutally attacked by the CPM goons on 4th January 2006. He suffered 42 wounds in the attack. Sathyesh had been in the hit list of the CPI(M) as he was instrumental in capturing the Kotaparambu ward of the municipality from the CPI(M). CPI(M) had targeted Satheysh as the BJP had transformed into a major force in Kodungallur municipality with the party winning five seats in then municipal elections.
