Massive Churches & Mosques across length and breadth of Kerala

The landscape of Kerala is undergoing a massive transformation. Travel from Kasargod to Parasala and one will be amazed at the behemoth structures being erected by Christians and Muslims across the length and breadth of Kerala. Towering structures with gigantic domes greet you in every town, big or small.

There seems to be an overflowing abundance of cash that is being wasted on such concrete monstrosities, yet, these are the very same communities demanding subsidy for Haj and Bethelehem trips. Is there any justification ? From where are these crores flowing in ? Are these genuine contributions by foreigners or are they slush money sent from here by Hawala, or are they counterfeit notes ? Our security agencies shy away from probing the so called Minorities and the source of such funds.

There seems to be a silent competition among the two desert religions as to who can build the most massive structures in every nook and corner of Kerala. This is also a show of strength to intimidate the political class into obeying the Minority religious leaders. Padres and Mullahs assert their supremacy in controlling the minds of large sections of their blind and unthinking followers.

The asinine and disunited Hindus have nothing to show. They don’t even have money to renovate their dilapidated temples, leave alone build new temples. In many of the new colonies that are coming up in different parts of the State, there is not a single new Hindu temple, whereas an assorted gang of evangelical groups are building several Prayer-halls. In every new locality there must be at least half a dozen prayer halls of the christians.
 
Hindus should also start constructing simple prayer halls, it is cheaper to build and maintain. It should be thrown open to all sections of society. These prayer halls can help to consolidate the Hindus and assert political pressure, which is needed to survive, and ward off conversion-gangs.
