Treasue Hunt in Temple; 500 crore Rupees worth valuables found

Thiruvananthapuram: As per media reports 500 crore worth Gold and Silver were unearthed from one of the the secret cellar in Sri Ananda Padmanabha Swami Temple. Three more Cellars will be opened today. The Valuables include 450 Golden Pots one weighing one and half kilo, Golden and Silver lamps, Golden Umberllas etc .  The value calculated does not include the Archaelogical value.

The cellars, remaining closed for several decades, were ordered to be opened by the apex court to prepare an inventory while considering a private petition recently. The magnificent temple is known for its architectural elegance and long rows of granite columns with exquisite engravings have Lord Vishnu reclining on the thousand-headed serpent Anantha as the presiding deity.
