Devaswom playing with fire – Sabarimala is not a cinema theatre to take ticket for Darshan

Thiruvananthapuram: Travancore Devaswom Board has crossed all limits by implementing a ticket system to have Darshan of Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha.

In this new attempt to loot, Swami devotees have to take a ticket for Nirmalya Darshan . Hold on – Ticket charge is not 5 rupees or 10 Rupees – 2500 Rupees per head! Travancore Devaswom Board meeting held on June 25 had decided to increase the rate of other offerings as well to Lord Ayyappa and other temples at Sabarimala and Pampa.

This TDB decision is not only a huge regard for Hindus but a court contempt as well.In a court order dated November 12, 2009, a Division Bench of Kerala High Court had categorically stated that ‘‘any rate of revision in the Vazhipadu items could be done by giving publicity to the proposal, and after considering public sentiments, make necessary notification, if necessary, and then move an application for any such proposal.”

This move to introduce ticket for Darsan in Sabarimala should be seen as part of a wider conspiracy to defame the temple and to create a ill will among the ayyappa devotees against the temple. If they introduce it today in Sabarimala, for sure they will introduce it tommorow in Guruvayur temple and day after tommorow in all Devaswom Board controlled temple.

HK hope in coming days Hindu organisations will take up the matter and nip these tendencies from bud itself.
