Jihadi Riots – A daily affair in Kasargod district

Hosdurg: Reports of Jihadi attacks and rioting has become a daily affair now in the Coastal areas of Karagod.

As per recent reports from Hosdurg beach, Jihadis set ablaze the house of Sujala Balakrishna, a fisherwoman in Kadappura. Jewellery worth Rs 60,000 and title deed of the house were gutted in the fire. The mob attacked house owner Balakrishna. Houses of Ramadasan, Ravi, Chiru Amma, Vatsalan, Pushpa Vijayan, Ganga, Sarojini, Madhavi, Salguna, Pramod, Balan were also damaged by the mob that went berserk after an electricity blackout.

In retaliatory attacks houses of Parkar Mohammed Ali, T K Moidu, Hassainar, Ramla, Abdul Rehman and Sakina were also damaged.

The open support offered to Muslim league thugs by the administration, is said to be the root cause of these violence in communally sensitive Coastal areas.
