In memory of Sisupalanji, who spearheaded Hindu movements in Kerala

published on February 20, 2013

Sisupalanji, founding father and patron of Hindu Aikya Vedi left us to the heavenly abode this day three years back. His contribution to the cause of Hindu revival in the state is priceless and under his able guidance, Hindu Aikya Vedi came out successfully, safe-guarding the Hindus from injustices and onslaughts of many sorts.

Nothing could have been a greater boost for Hindu revival in the modern era than the ‘Vishal Hindu Sammelan’ organized at Ernakulam in his memory. The vigour and energy generated by the programme has enshrined Sisupalanji’s memory in our hearts and still propels us forward to fight for our genuine demands.

When Christians planted a Cross at Nilakkal, Sabarimala with a malafide intention, it was Hindu Aikya Vedi under Sisupalanji that gave birth to a mass agitation which forced them to pull out their cross from the divine above of Lord Ayyappan.

Yet in another case of Christian mischief where they constructed ‘Paapavedi’ at the holy ‘Aaratu Kadavu’ at Shankumukham, it was again Sisupalanji who spearheaded the Hindu Aikya Vedi in successfully fighting to get the bauble demolished.

When innocent Hindus were massacred at Marad, the so called secular government stood still without doing anything whatsoever for the victims simply because they happened to be Hindus. At this time of need, the fortitude displayed by Sisupalanji instilled courage in the Hindu Aikya Vedi and what was born was the courageous initiative to stand by the Hindu brethren and fight for justice.

In light of the great contributions made by Sisupalanji to the cause of Hindu religion, a function was organized at Melarannur Shri Chattambiswamy Memorial NSS Karayogam on 16th February 2013 to mark the third death anniversary. State & district level leaders were present in the function in which eminent personalities were honoured.
