Jihadi terrorists in Kannur destroyed Temple entrance gate of Kannadiparamba Dharmasastha- Siva temple last week on 18th Feb. Popularfront – SDPI terrorists are suspected behind this.

This is not the first time temples getting targeted by Jihadi’s which most of the time goes unreported. There is a fatwa against any flex boards regarding Temple events or programmes. Such Flex boards will get usually within 24 hours after display. Jihadi’s are currently protesting against an entrance board for Narath Shree Muchillot Bhagavathi temple in the area.

Jihadi’s in the area lost sleep, especially after the immense success of ‘Athirudra Maha Yagam’ held here. Jihadis have warned that they will destroy this Entrance gate for the temple which was renovated prior to Athirudra Maha yagam.

This area is also notorious for Moral Policing by Jihadis. Attacks against Hindu activists in the region are also common. Kannur is becoming the hotbed of Jihadi extremists. Many of the times the hands of Police forces are tied to take any action against these Jihadi’s as they are day time leaders of mainstream Muslim organisations like Muslim league.
