An Enquiry for possible terror links

The state police of Kerala has said that all suspected terror links in connection with the murder of Vishal will be probed into. The initiative by police came after a profound suspicion of a hidden agenda behind the murder. Weapons being wielded by those who came to welcome the newcomers to the college on their first day is indeed a matter of suspicion. According to sources, the entire scenario will be clear when all accused are arrested.

Meanwhile, a volley of remonstration has broken out in connection with the murder of Vishal. When Nizam and Shafeeque, the arrested accused were brought to the court, the entire locality reverberated with protest slogans from BJP, RSS, ABV activists. Even the police found it impossible to contain the irate crowd, which was later pacified when senior laders intervened.

The accused were brought into the court premises under tight security and were later remanded by the court. They were taken to the CI office through a different route to avoid the fury of the protestors. The remonstrators then raised their protest loud and clear in the heart of the town.

Meanwhile General Secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi, Kummanom Rajashekharan said a special investigation team must be appointed to look into the murder of Vishal. “The murder of Vishal is a deliberately planned move by terror elements. A detailed report must be submitted about the ulterior motives and hidden agenda behind the murder. The terror angle should be given importance as well. A specific report should also be submitted with regard to the preparations made and amount spent for the deed and also the type of lethal weapons used. It is baseless to shove aside Vishal’s murder as ‘having taken place unknowingly in the midst of a heated argument’. Instead those responsible for the killing must be treated as first rate terror elements and trained murderers and must be brought to book,” he said.
