Difference between ‘Amma’ & ‘Mother’ in Kerala
Thrissur: For past 80 days Nurses are agitating infront of a Mother Hospital at Olari near Thrissur. The strike under the banner of United Nurses Association demands implementation of Balram Committee recommendations.
Nurses are observing fast unto death strike for past several days. Apart from arresting those in fast unto death and admitting them to Government hospital forcefully, state or district administration has turned a blind eye towards this strike.
Few months back , we all saw the hue and cry our media made and the response of various political organisations towards the strike in Amritha Superspeciality Hospital. The whole Anti Hindus united behind Nurses then as they saw it as a great opportunity to tarnish Amma.Within couple of days Amrita Hospital management acted proactively and the strike were withdrawn.
The nurses, who were agitating in front of Mother Hospital at Olari, took out a protest march to the Collectorate in Ayyanthol holding an effigy of Dr Abdul Hakkim, the managing director of the hospital on Monday.
Why those who spat venom against ‘Amma’ are now silent when it comes at the doorsteps of ‘Mother’?. This hospital is owned by NRI Couple Dr Ali and Dr Aysha Ali. Is this the reason behind your silence?
