MMS(Money,Mafia,Sex) scandal rocks again;CPM leader arrested for sexual exploitation of minor.

The police, on Monday, arrested another relative of the minor schoolgirl who was sexually harassed at Dharmadam here.

The arrested, Kannan Kurumbil Veettil Suresh Babu of Andalur in Dharmadam, uncle of the victim, is also a branch secretary of the CPM. He was arrested by the police for abetting the crime. A police party led by M P Vinod made the arrest in the morning.

The sexual exploitation of the 13-year-old schoolgirl of Andalur came to light as she refused to return home from school on November 23. She then disclosed the story of sexual harassment by her own relatives. The shocking incident was revealed in detail when she was taken to the police station by the teachers and the president of the block panchayat, Baby Sarojam. Her father Arunkumar, brother and two of her uncles were arrested earlier in connection with the incident. The  victim was later taken to the Mahila Mandiram, Kozhikode. Her brother was housed in a juvenile home at Thalassery.
