Protests against Aranmula Airport: Vehicle campaign launched

A district level vehicle campaign under the auspices of Hindu Aikya Vedi and Paristhithi Samrakshana Samithi has been inaugurated at Kuttampuzha. The aim of the campaign is to create an awareness about the environment, importance of conserving rivers, sarpa kaavu, hills, fields and the perils glaring at the natural terrain if the airport project is to take shape.

The campaign was initiated with a pooja towards the sacred rivers. The campaign was inaugurated by state President of Hindu Aikya Vedi Sasikala Teacher. “There is a whole lot of sanctity in considering nature as our divine mother. There is no superstition associated with it,” she said while inaugurating the meet.

Others who graced the occasion were campaign leader Advocate VN Mohandas, Taluk President of Hindu Aikya Vedi K Radhakrishnan, Babu Manikkad.
