Thiruvaranmula Paithrukagrama Samrakshana Samithi patron Kummanam Rajasekharan blamed K Sivadasan Nair MLA, for the unfortunate incidents at the inaugural vallasadya offerings ceremony at Aranmula Lord Partahasarathi temple on Wednesday.

Kummanam said in a statement that Sivadasan Nair, who is isolated from the public owing to the people’s agitation against the Aranmula airport project, came to the temple in a bid to sabotage the vallasadya inaugural ceremony to take advantage of the situation. Kummanam said the Palliyoda Seva Sangham, the organisation which conducts the vallasadya, had not invited the MLA for the ceremony, taking into account the sentiments of the people and members of palliyodam karas.

The arrival of the MLA at the inaugural ceremony was following a conspiracy, Kummanam said. As part of the plan, a goonda gang was camping outside the temple premises, he said. On hearing the people’s protest against the lighting of traditional lamp, the gang started attacking the house of samithi convener P Induchoodan and Aranmula police station. Hence, action should be taken against those behind the incident, Kummanam said.
