Absconding Jihadi deported from Dubai
Kochi: NIA arrested one more absconding Jihadi terrorist linked with banned terrorist organisation SIMI. Abdul Sathar from Aluva was in hiding from Indian authorities in their safe haven of Dubai. He was wanted by NIA in connection with wagamon terrorist arms training camp where Jihad calls were made against India.
At the December 2007 camp at Wagamon in Kottayam district, some 40-odd youth from across the country were put through a rigorous course in physical and arms training, rope and rock climbing, motorbike racing and making of petrol bombs etc. Classes on “Jihad in India” were also conducted.
Abdul Sathar was using UAE as a base to raise funds for Indian Mujahideen’s (IM) terror acts against India. He is the third Indian to be deported from the Arab Gulf countries in the past one year, the first being Abu Jundal, who is an accused in the 26/11 case and Fasih Mohammed, accused in the Bangalore and Delhi terror attacks case, four months later from Saudi Arabia.
