‘NaMo Tea Stalls’ to Dot Kerala.

published on May 28, 2014
Not having a ministerial representation from Kerala in the Central cabinet has not dampened the spirit of his followers in the state. The members of Narendra Modi Fans Association, Kottayam have embarked on an initiative in setting up ‘NaMo Tea Stalls’ in the state.

As a pilot project, the stalls will be set up in two or three areas, from where the group plans to set them up at Panchayat levels. The tea stalls will follow the Kudumbasree model, with self help units taking over its functioning. Sources have informed that each unit will consist of 20 members.

“The best food at affordable rates” will be the slogan of these groups, where tea and snacks will be made available at a minimum Rs 5.

The groups don’t intend restricting themselves to tea stalls alone. They plan to host regular ‘chai pe charchas’ and evaluate the various facets of the newly sworn in Narendra Modi government. The groups are open to suggestions from the general public.

The first venture will be set up at Kaduthuruthi.
