Kerala Stares at Looming Maoist Ideological Warfare.

There are reports of Maoists gearing for an ideological onslaught in Kerala, along with armed warfare. According to sources, there are loyal, uncompromising Maoist supporters who have wormed their way into government media centres and other prominent media houses. The move is to begin sprinkling Maoist ideology among people in the most unsuspecting manner and make them acceptable. The state department of NIA has begun probing into the matter.

Reports state that in July, data has been gathered from media houses including AIR, which support Maoist ideology. A watch is also being kept on those in the media fraternity, suspected to be Maoist supporters.

Reports have also stated that Kochi has begun assuming proportions of being a Maoist hub, with undetected widespread activities taking place in Special Economic Zone. Maoist leader Roopesh is said to have personally arrived at SEZ and conducted training programmes for cadres and spearheaded various operations. It has also been reported that two companies recently had to face closure, thanks to Maoist hands.

Confirmed presence of Maoists, along with an alarmingly burgeoning pace of activities has been recorded in Kerala in the last six months. The police, however, maintains a criminal, stoic silence.
