If RSS preferred bloodshed; CPM will not exist anywhere in India – K Surendran

published on September 7, 2014

BJP state general secretary K Surendran has stated that the inspiration for politics of bloodshed indulged in, by CPM in the district of Kannur, comes from the lax attitude being displayed by the government. In a recent address, he said that the murder that took place in Kannur is not an isolated incident or something that should be dismissed as mere coincidence.

“This is well planned and should not be dismissed as mere coincidence. It is definitely not an isolated incident either. The Facebook post of Jayarajan’s son is ample evidence for the same. The government has also taken a stand congenial to criminals. CI Prem Raj, the police officer who has been entrusted the task of conducting an inquiry is a CPM sympathizer- the same man who allegedly let off Thadiyantevide Naseer from his jeep, giving him chance to escape,” said Surendran, adding that Manoj’s murder would not have taken place, had CBI taken over the investigation of other gruesome murders like those of Jayakrishnan Master and TP Chandrashekharan.

“When TP Chandrashekharan was murdered the government had given the assurance that another political murder would never take place. But the very same government was instrumental in letting off the hook, the very same people who were involved in hatching the conspiracy of TP’s murder. Now they have issued threats of not allowing celebrations of SreeKrishna Jayanti, in Kannur. They should know that Sangh Pariwar activities are not done with permission obtained from CPM party workers,” said Surendran.

Exposing the current atmosphere prevailing in CPM, Surendran said that it is similar to the ambiance during the time of Emergency. “Thousands have disowned the party and are now migrating to BJP. Senior CPM leaders in Bengal and Kerala are now struggling to find cadres, to work for party activities. Under such circumstances, it is with sheer understanding of the scenario that CPM secretary Prakash Karat called for emulating ‘Kannur model’. It is akin to showing the green signal for committing further murders,” stated Surendran, adding that CPM should display the dignity to wage an ideological combat.

“Sangh Parivar organizations are skilled in ways of self defense. But those methods are not being used because there is the feeling of responsibility among karyakartas about being a segment of the party that is ruling at Centre. If RSS were to pay back in the same coin and retaliate on the path of bloodshed, CPM would never exist anywhere in India,” said Surendran.
