Release of Sri Chattambiswami’s unpublished works – Vedanta Saram & Vedanta Sangraham

published on September 10, 2014

VEDANTA SAARAM and VEDANTA SANGRAHAM, two hitherto unpublished works of His Holiness Sree Chattampi Swamy (1853–1924), the great philosopher-saint from Kerala, are being published on Sunday, 14th September 2014.

The manuscripts of these unpublished works authored by Sree Vidyadhiraja Parama Bhattaraka Chattampi Swamy were discovered and brought to light by Sri Panmana Unnikrishnan. These books, VEDANTA SAARAM and VEDANTA SANGRAHAM, explain to the common man in simplest of words the most sublime spiritual truths contained in the Ancient Vedas.

The teachings of Sree Chattampi Swamy influenced the launching of many social, religious, literary and political organisations and movements in Kerala and for the first time gave voice to those who were marginalised. Sree Chattampi Swamy and his life-long friend Sree Narayana Guru (1855–1928) were the originators and prime movers of reforms that have transformed the socio-religious landscape of Hindu Kerala.

Sri P Parameswaran, Director, Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram will release the two books in a function to be held at Thiruvananthapuram Press Club on September 14, 2014 at 5 PM.

Prof. Panmana Ramachandran Nair, eminent educationist, will receive the first copies of the books.

Venerable Swamy Pragnananda Theerthapaada, Head, Theerthapaada Ashramam, will deliver the keynote address.
