A Party Wedding, Groom – T P’s Killer

Kozhikode: According to reports, over 6000 CPM members attended the wedding function of Mohammed Shafi, fifth accused in TP Chandrashekharan’s murder. The Marxist clan includes DYFI state president & CPM MLA A N Shamseer. Reports also state that state police force was deployed to ensure security at the venue.

Earlier participation of Binesh Kodiyeri and AN Shamseer had kickstarted a storm. The latest reports have added to the furore, with pictures of CPM bandwagon spoing with Shafi the bridegroom being out in the open. At a time when CPM has been vehemently denying allegations of their leaders having a hand in the murder of TP Chandrashekaran, the pictures and stories behind the same need more than answers.

Shafi, the accused, who has been serving prison term for over six years, had sought bail for his wedding, which was granted. The matter has stirred a hornet’s nest as well.
