Secular Mourning starts in Kerala followed by Gharwapasi reports from Allapuzha

Alappuzha: The Ghar Wapsi event initiated by Viswa Hindu Parishad welcoming those who had strayed from the fold of Hinduism, back to their own religious has met with ample success in Kerala. The programme is being organized for all those who want to return to their pristine religion, without any compulsion. However, the programme has created ample sore for media houses in Kerala, who have been misguiding the general public.

 

In the district of Alappuzha 30 persons returned to Hindu religion, on their own accord, as upheld by the Indian Constitution. The ceremony was conducted in Kulichanalloor Mahakshetram at 9.00 am. Those who reverted were 30 people, hailing from 8 Christian families. The ceremony included Shuddhikalasham, initiation of Gayathrimantram, Vastradaanam (distribution of clothes).

 

However, those who were quick to shower support on those agencies and people who converted and were converted to other religions under pressure and under the lure of money, have now swooped to condemn the voluntary programme. And when confronted about the same, these very people have put on a defensive mode, remaining totally mute on the matter of personal choice and individual freedom. Politicians are not far behind either- the criticism and slander they heap on Hindu religious principles are not a small lot.

 

However, Viswa Hindu Parishad has made it clear that they have merely created a platform and allied provisions for those who want to revert to their original religion. “We are ready to grant every single provision for those who want to revert to Hinduism, without any compulsion or force,” said a VHP worker.
