Victims of Love Jihad Return to Hindu Religion

Alappuzha: Three families, which had fallen victim to the tortures of Islam after conversion to the religion, have reverted to the Hindu fold. The families hailing from Kayamkulam and Arattupuzha are said to have been lured to Islam through various paths, including love jihad.

The reconversion to Hindu fold was initiated in a ceremony held in Kizhavoor Yakshiamma Temple in Kayamkulam amidst Vedic chants. Sources have stated that in neighbouring Cheppad 11 out of 32 families reverted to their pristine faith.

VHP leaders have reiterated support for anyone who would like to return to their Hindu fold. Sources state that many people, who had been lured to other religions using money and force are eager to return, following high discrimination and ridicule.
