Animal Right activist’s in TN, step up vigilance on illegal cow trafficking to Kerala

Kottayam: With heavy trafficking being imposed on the transporting of bovines from Tamil Nadu to Kerala, meat lovers of Kerala have turned jittery.

With dedicated Hindu activists doing all that they can to put an end to the brutal bovine slaughter, activists in Tamil Nadu have been successful in ferrying cattle meant for slaughter to safe destinations like goshalas. In Kerala, 90% of cattle meat which is being consumed comes from other states.

Lorries are now being stopped by activists, with complaints of transport vehicles being inhumanly plugged in with bovines pouring in. With the help of police, the animals have been transported to rescue and shelter homes. The welfare associations have also taken a stand of not letting go of the cattle. With rescue organisations up in arms, meat eaters in Kerala have begun facing acute shortage with regard to cattle meat
