“The final rites of Kesava Menon were conducted in a place which is now under jurisdiction of Port  department. Ad because it is on the sea shore, comes under CRZ regulation. However, a congenial decision will be taken after discussing the matter with port, environmental and cultural departments,” said Kummanam highlighting that it is the duty of every Malayali to ensure that a doyen in the field of journalism and freedom fighter has a dignified resting place.

The place was chosen, as it was one of the favourite haunts of Kesava Menon, said his trust aide and close compatriot of eons, Sreenivasan, who is now a liaison officer of Mathrubhumi. “He wanted to be cremated there, irrespective of where his death took place,” said Sreenivasan.
