Assasination threat to Modi ; Evangelist from Kerala under arrest
Adoor: An evangelist named ND Thomas has been arrested for issuing an assassination threat on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A resident of Krishnagiri in Wayanad, Thomas was arrested by Adoor police.
According to sources, the letter issuing the death threat was posted on 17 October 2014, to the BJP office of Pathanamthitta. By an Evangelist pastor N D Thomas of World Ministers Bible College, Punaloor. Thomas scuttled from Pathanamthitta as soon as he posted the letter. He was tracked, based on details obtained via his mobile phone.
“Suicide bombers have been trained to attack (your) Narendra Modi if he sets foot on Kerala soil,†said the letter reiterating the assassination threat. A case as registered by leaders of BJP’s local unit. However, it was discerned that the letter originated from Wayand, judging from the seal on the letter
 “Thomas was nabbed from Wayanad, after he briefly led the life of a fugitive in Idukki and Wayanad. He does not suffer from any mental ailments either. The reasons behind the letter are not known,†said sources related to police.
Thomas was presented before the Court following which he was remanded. He will be taken into police custody for further questioning.
